Question by lexi_6924: I saw sign at ALDI for management trainee. So i dropped a resume and a cover letter.?
Only person i saw at the store was a cashier. I gave her the resume and cover letter and she said she would give it to manager. It been a week now, and i haven’t heard back from them. I know, i should follow up on it. But the problem is i have no contact numbers or even who to ask for. What should i do? Should i write thank you letter? I believe i have necessary skills for the position. Does anybody have any suggestions or applied to ALDI management?

Just call the listed store number and ask for the manager, if told that he/she is not there, ask the person with whom you are speaking when a good time to call back is.
Easy peasy.

Go speak directly to the store manager.
those stores only have a few employees including the mgr – Mgr is probably there most of the time
just be aware, you might not be training for mgr at THAT store – once training is done, you will probably be working at another store and might have to re-locate – they usually don’t have many stores in the same 20 mile radius area
First of all the other answers are wrong. Aldi store managers do not hire and fire anyone they only can input on the situation. It’s the district manager that gets a manager in training in the door with the first interview 10 min. Hard part is getting that 2nd interview that is 45-60 min. If you get a call after that for a interview with the Operations director your 95% in.
If i was you i would just go in and shop really really slow on the 23 of dec or 8 of jan and watch what the manager does (blue shirt). After 30-45 min in the store ask the store manager a question watch the fire in there eyes on how bad or good there day is. The reason why i am saying this is your past skills get you in the door, your past skills of managing 5-25 people only shows your know what has to be done and that you know when they tell you to get something done you will find a way to get it done.
Also you can ask when the DM is going to be in next so you can give her or him your application. Tell the DM about your self and if you can get a list of the NLU’s (produce Numbers so you can make an impact on the day you start) smile give the a good hand shake.
Great job wish i was still there
