A resume refers to all your personal details so far in your life, I would suggest the following as a framework.
1. Your name and address.
2. Telephone number.
3. Date of birth.
4. The address of the school/s you have attended with dates.
5. Any qualifications you have.
6. Any part time jobs you may have had.
7. What your hobbies and pastimes are.
8. Where you want your career to go.
9. What your strengths are.
10.Why you are applying for this particular job.
Best of luck!!
That’s ten for you to be carrying on with, if you keep your resume on your computer, you can amend No. 10 for each application
Easy. Instead of listing work experience, highlight your abilities and skills instead.
You want your name and any contact information.
List anything that makes you unique above others.
You previous job experience. (If any)
References so they can ask other people about you. (probably just your mom or dad, or friends parents)
And any other info that you think would be necessary for them to know.
if your 16 then your not really expected to have had a propa job b4.. so dont worry about it, i mean as long as you have just finished skool not long ago then they arent going to mind that. every ones gotta start some where.
write a resume that consist of your schooling activities and sports played. As well as any service or religous work. Just give them and idea of who you are and what you are about and if you don’t play sports or participate in any clubs make it up, they will never know. Know one checks up on the resume of a 16 year old unless you are trying to get emancipated from your family.
your resume is a summary of work experience, your education, and your skills. It’s something that makes you stand out from the other resumes they get. you may not have had a job, but list any volunteer/service, events, computer programs you are good with, words per minute you type, awards you may have gotten at school, if you speak more than one language etc. You may want to go to a parent, teacher or guidance counselor for some suggestions on how to best write one for you.
Put any clubs, activities, or organizations you’ve been involved in on there. Be sure to note if you’ve held any positions of leadership in any of those. Also, make sure to list 3 references (people not related to you that know you well and could say good things about you to a potential employer). Mention your skills and abilities (what computer applications are you familiar with, do you speak other languages, etc.) Also, at the top you’ll need to put your name, address, phone number and email address. Then as the first point on your resume, write the name of your school and the year you’re expected to graduate and with what degree.
For example: Smith High School, Greensboro, NC
2011: High School Diploma
Your employer doesn’t expect you to have a long list of previous jobs since you’re only 16, but if you’ve ever babysat before or housesat or anything, put that on there. Basically you’re showing off your skills, abilities, and past experiences to your employer without being cocky or anything about it! Good luck!
