Your resume is your first step into your job. One wrong step- or badly written resume- could cost you the job. And for this reason, it is always recommended to take resume-writing seriously. Always take the time to draft that piece of document, and never settle for anything less. This is true for all industries even health care, so make sure that all the appropriate research should be done in order to get the job done. So if you are looking for a job in the health care sector, the importance of having a resume or curriculum vitae CV is important too. And remember that all the rules in CV writing also apply to CV writing for the health sector. If you are new to CV writing, then don’t fret since there are available templates you can used. If you are applying for a medical assistant position, there is a medical assistant resume template you can use.

The medical assistant resume template that you can use is almost similarly patterned to other CVs out in the job market right now. So what’s the purpose of having a CV or resume and by extension, your medical assistant resume template? The intent of the resume is universal for all industries. You present your resume or CV in order to market yourself and to effectively present some important information about you to your company or employer. At its core, you can think of the CV and the resume as your own answer to the posted job description of the hiring company. Here you will discuss why you are the best match for the job that the company is looking for. Simply put, the CV or resume is just part of the whole matching process needed by the HR personnel in order to meet the gaps of employment in the company. And you can make that happen if you are properly guided with the help of a medical assistant resume template.

To get the best results in application for that health care job, we provide you with some tips and recommendations that you can use and can go alongside your medical assistant resume template:

When CV writing, it is recommended that you charge most of the entries to experiences. If you can provide a good number evidences for your skills and abilities, then that is a better move for you. And this will increase your chance of bagging that medical assistant job. Remember that it is no longer enough to list your competencies and skills; it is better if you can show how you used these in order to produce good results!
When writing your CV as guided by that medical assistant resume template, it’s best to write from the perspective of the HR person. So make sure that all entries are relevant and correct since this is what the HR person is looking. Would you be willing to read a resume that is full of grammatical errors?

Take these recommendations strongly and use these when trying to come up with a CV as guided by a medical assistant resume template.

Where can I find a great CV/Resume template?

Question by Laura ????????: Where can I find a great CV/Resume template?
I’m writing a CV for my mother, and already have all the information drafted up on a very basic, black & white CV template in MS Word.

I’ve been searching for free CV templates with good, simple design and a bit of color to make them interesting. I found the following site had quite a few good ones, but most of them cost: http://www.1stwebdesigner.com/resources/resume-cv-templates/

Another site that had a few good (but not download-able) ones was http://jobmob.co.il/blog/beautiful-resume-ideas-that-work/

If you know of any great places to get free resume/CV templates that aren’t plain and boring, please let me know. It will be greatly appreciated.

Google “resume templates” and you’ll find a lot of websites which provide blank resume examples. Many will list the resume or CV headings and give you some general information about what to include under each heading and no more.

But when you’re struggling to find the right words to sell your experience, personal qualities and skills, blank resume templates just don’t hit the mark.

What you really want is some completed resume templates so you can see how others have sold themselves effectively on paper and do the same.

We are 4 interviewers who have teamed up with our colleagues and customers to bring you a selection of completed CVs and resume templates. You can use these, together with our sample resumes guide to write yourself an interview-winning CV or resume. You can find our resume templates here.

First, here’s some information on resume template styles and 5 top tips for a good resume or CV.

There are several resume template styles to choose from. Here are 3 of the most common:

Reverse Chronological CVs And Resumes

We see this style most often as it’s the one people commonly associate with CVs and resumes. You begin with your most recent work experience (or qualification if you’re studying) and work backwards.

Functional CVs And Resumes

We see this style most often at entry level because it’s a style which emphasizes your abilities and skills above your qualifications and experience. Dates become less relevant than in the reverse chronological style. Use a functional CV or resume if you have little or no work experience and/or many qualifications.

Combination CVs And Resumes

This style combines the above two. It allows you to tailor your CV or resume to according to the requirements of the potential employer and/or job. Many of our resume templates are in this style.

5 Top Tips For A Great Resume Or CV

1. Make sure your CV or resume is relevant to the company and/or job you’re applying for or to. Tailor your CV or resume so it’s clear you want to join them particularly. As interviewers, we don’t like to think that ours is one of many jobs you’re applying for and a standard CV or resume will tell us just this.

2. Keep it to two pages only. Put less relevant information in an appendix.

3. Get a friend or colleague to read the job advert and then your CV for only 20 seconds. Get them to tell you why you’re a good match for the job. If they can’t, start over. You need to make an impression very quickly so your CV or resume must be to the point and clearly laid out.

4. Grammar and spelling are key. Get these right at all costs.

5. Have an Objective or Personal Summary at the top – a short paragraph which says what job you would like, why you would like and be good at it and what benefit you will bring to the Company.

Check out our advice and our real-life completed resume templates and see for yourself how easy it is to make the right first impression.
